Drive-in racking

Drive-in racks represent a frame rack system, which the main bearing elements are brackets, rails (lodgments). Lodgments (guides) are attached to rack brackets, and pallets of goods are installed on lodgments. Unlike other types of racks for example pallet racks, Drive-in do not imply the presence of the shelves so that items stored on them without pallets is impossible.

Drive-in racks are used in warehouses that store goods with long expiration date on pallets. This is due to the fact that this system works as follows: first pallet is unloaded that was loaded last (LIFO). Also usage of Drive-in allows rationally place large number of uniform products and uses the entire amount of stock. It is due to the aisles between the racks are reduced, because forklift can move in and move out directly from the rack.

The advantages of Drive-in Systems:

  • capability unlimited form of racking, both in length and in depth;
  • high use of storage premises. The relative utilization of space facilities may reach 85%;
  • ability to manage effectively large volumes of goods in the racks;
  • most effective using of this type of racks in refrigerators and freezers.


    Drive-in produced as a one-sided and double-sided loading. That allows optimizing loading and unloading time of goods. The construction of racks is designed to be placed on them trays in various dimensions: 800x120 mm, 1000x1200mm and 1200x1200mm, etc.
